Summer Prints

I printed this as part of a postcard exchange to illustrate the old saying, "The dog barks, but the caravan passes." It's a wood engraving, done in a very short time - about four days. I printed these on the SFCB's proof Vandercook, my favorite press there. I think that's because it's bigger than the others and so can withstand my occasional unintended misuse.

For instance, I once forgot to place the furniture correctly in the press bed and ended up dinting this wood block at the bottom. Yes, the dint ended up being useful to write my initials, but I can't take credit for that.
